In a separate incident in the Shahbaz Khel area of Lakki Marwat, unidentified motorcycle-borne terrorists opened fire on police constable Mumtaz at the main bus stand.

The latest attacks underscore the continuing security challenges confronting police forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where law enforcement personnel have repeatedly been targeted in shootings, ambushes and other terrorist attacks.
The incidents have once again raised concerns over the security of police personnel and the deteriorating law-and-order situation in several districts of the province.
