More Than 900 Palestinians Killed in Gaza Despite Ceasefire, Health Ministry Says

Gaza (Terror Monitor) — More than 900 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza this year despite a ceasefire, according to the latest figures released by the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.

The ministry said the total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since the ceasefire was announced on October 10 has exceeded 1,300, including 301 children.

Hamas and Israel agreed to halt fighting after accepting U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan, which included provisions calling for an end to all military operations, including airstrikes and artillery bombardment.

Despite the ceasefire, reports of Israeli attacks have continued across parts of the Gaza Strip. The reported incidents include strikes on a café near the coast, tents housing displaced Palestinians and areas in central Gaza.

According to the Health Ministry’s figures, recent months have been the deadliest, with more than 100 deaths recorded each month between April and August.

The ministry attributes the deaths directly to Israeli military operations but does not distinguish between civilians and combatants among those killed.

The United Nations considers the ministry’s casualty figures reliable, while independent assessments by experts have also found the overall figures broadly consistent with available evidence.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has rejected the Health Ministry’s figures, saying there is no basis to assume that everyone on the list was killed as a result of Israeli military operations.

The IDF says it conducts operations in accordance with the ceasefire agreement with the aim of eliminating threats and protecting Israeli soldiers and civilians, while seeking to minimize harm to civilians.

Earlier this year, Israeli media reported that an Israeli security official had acknowledged that more than 70,000 people had been killed in the Gaza war, including more than 20,000 fighters.
