Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Says India’s Role in Terrorist Attacks is “Clear”

Islamabad (Terror Monitor) —Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that India’s involvement in terrorist attacks in Pakistan is “clear,” while accusing the Afghan government of failing to prevent terrorist activities.

Addressing participants of the Balochistan National Workshop, Sharif said Balochistan is Pakistan’s largest province by area and the smallest by population. He praised the province’s leadership and people for their role in supporting the country’s federation.

The prime minister said 90,000 Pakistani citizens and security personnel have been killed in the war against terrorism. Referring to the recent killing of a sessions judge in Mastung, he said the sacrifices of the people of Balochistan would not go in vain.

Sharif alleged that India’s role in terrorist activities in Pakistan was evident and said the Afghan government had failed to stop terrorists operating from its territory. He added that Pakistan was also trying to convey its concerns to the neighboring country.

The prime minister said terrorism had previously been eliminated from the country but returned due to an organized conspiracy. He called for collective efforts to defeat terrorism and said the time had come to move Pakistan forward on the path of development.

Sharif also highlighted what he described as Pakistan’s recent achievements, praising the efforts of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and said Pakistan’s diplomacy for regional peace was being appreciated internationally.
