Pakistan: Security Forces Kill 14 BLA Militants in Separate Operations in Balochistan

Quetta (Terror Monitor) — Security forces killed 14 militants affiliated with the outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in two separate operations in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province, according to security sources.

In the first incident, BLA militants attacked the Nok Kacha checkpoint in Dalbandin, Chagai district, security sources said.

According to the sources, security personnel were on alert and responded to the attack. During the exchange of fire, the security forces surrounded the attackers and killed 12 militants.

A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and other military equipment was recovered from the militants, the sources said.

Meanwhile, security forces are continuing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna against militants affiliated with outlawed organizations in Balochistan.

Security sources said that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Palantak area of Washuk district, killing two militants.

The sources said the two militants were allegedly involved in attacks on the Mashkhel Police Station and the Customs House.

During the operation, the militants’ vehicle was also destroyed, while weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession.

Following the operations, security forces launched search and clearance operations in the surrounding areas to locate any other militants who may be present.

Security officials said intelligence-based operations against militant groups would continue across Balochistan as part of efforts to eliminate militant networks and improve security in the province.
