Pakistan: Six Bullet-Riddled Bodies Recovered in Balochistan’s Gwadar and Washuk

QUETTA (Terror Monitor) — The bodies of six people bearing gunshot wounds were recovered from two districts of Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, police said, as the latest discoveries followed the recovery of 12 bodies from three other districts on October 13.

Four bodies were found at two separate locations in the coastal district of Gwadar, while two others were recovered from the Hurmagai area of Washuk district near the Iranian border. Police said the circumstances and motives behind the latest killings remained unclear.

The discoveries add to a series of reported killings across Balochistan, where authorities have yet to establish whether the separate incidents are connected.

Four Bodies Recovered in Pasni

According to local police, four bodies were recovered from two locations in Pasni, a coastal town in Gwadar district.

Police officials said two bodies were found in the Chakli area during the morning, while two others were recovered near a coconut farm later in the evening.

All four victims had sustained fatal gunshot wounds, police said.

Authorities confirmed that two of the men found in Chakli had been identified and were residents of Pasni. The identities of the other two victims had not been established at the time of reporting.

Police said the motive behind the killings remained unknown. No further details about the circumstances of the deaths or possible suspects were immediately available.

Two Men Found Shot Dead in Washuk

In a separate incident, two bodies were recovered from the Hurmagai area of Washuk district, which borders Iran.

According to police, the two men had been shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Sunday.

A police official identified the victims as Faheem and Majeed and said they were reportedly from Pakistan’s southern province of Sindh.

The official said the motive behind the killings had not been determined and that further details were awaited.

Police have not announced any arrests or identified those responsible for the deaths.

Twelve Bodies Recovered Across Three Districts on October 13

The latest discoveries follow the recovery of 12 bodies bearing bullet wounds in three separate districts of Balochistan on October 13, according to police officials.

Five bodies were recovered near Sui town in Dera Bugti district, another five were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Panjgur, and two bodies were found in Barkhan district.

Police had not established the circumstances surrounding the deaths or determined whether the incidents were connected.

Five Bodies Found Near Sui

Police said five bodies were recovered approximately four to five kilometres from Sui town in Dera Bugti district.

Police official Amir Hamza confirmed the recovery and said the bodies had subsequently been handed over to the victims’ families.

The deceased were reported to be from Dera Bugti. However, police did not provide further information about their identities, the circumstances of their deaths or a possible motive.

Attempts to contact the head of Dera Bugti police for additional information were unsuccessful at the time.

Two Brothers Killed in Barkhan

In Barkhan district, police confirmed the recovery of two men who had been shot dead by unidentified gunmen.

Barkhan Station House Officer Muhammad Aslam confirmed the incident by telephone but said the killings had not occurred within the jurisdiction of his police station.

He said an ambulance was dispatched after police received information about the bodies in another area.

According to Aslam, the two men were biological brothers. Initial information indicated that they had been assigned security duties in the Bala Dhaka area of Barkhan district.

Nihal Khan, the station house officer in the Gursani area of neighbouring Kohlu district, said the brothers belonged to Kohlu but had been killed in Barkhan.

Police did not disclose further details about the killings or identify any suspects. The motive remained unknown.

Five Bodies Taken to Hospital in Panjgur

Meanwhile, five bodies were brought to the District Headquarters Hospital in Panjgur, a district in southwestern Balochistan near the Iranian border.

Panjgur City Station House Officer Taufiq Ahmed confirmed that the bodies had been transferred to the hospital but said he did not know the circumstances or motives behind the deaths.

Another police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said only one of the five victims had been identified at the time of reporting.

Authorities had not released further details about the identities of the victims or the locations where they were killed.

Police Yet to Establish Whether Incidents Are Connected

The recovery of six bodies in Gwadar and Washuk, following the discovery of 12 bodies in Dera Bugti, Barkhan and Panjgur on October 13, has drawn attention to a series of deadly incidents across Balochistan.

Police have confirmed the recovery of the bodies in the separate cases, but the available information does not establish whether the killings were connected or involved the same perpetrators.

No group had claimed responsibility for the killings in the incidents described, and authorities had not announced arrests in connection with them.

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by area, has experienced a prolonged security crisis involving separatist insurgency, militant violence and security operations. However, officials have not publicly linked the reported killings to any particular militant group or broader conflict.

Investigations into the separate incidents are ongoing, while the identities of several victims and the motives behind their deaths remain unclear.
