Pakistan: Three Security Personnel Killed in Mohmand Blast

PESHAWAR (Shamim Shahid) — At least three security personnel were killed and four others injured in an explosion at a security forces camp in the Mohmand tribal district on Wednesday morning.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), unknown militants targeted a Bomb Disposal (BD) team near the 114 Brigade in the Mamad Gat area of Safi Tehsil, Mohmand District, adjacent to Peshawar. The incident occurred while the Bomb Disposal team was carrying out routine operational duties.
Rescue teams and additional security personnel rushed to the scene immediately after the blast, and the injured were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
The personnel killed in the attack were identified as Naib Subedar Akhtar Baz, Lance Naik Mohib Din, and Sepoy Shafiq, who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The injured were identified as Naik Islam Haq, Lance Naik Haq Nawaz, Sepoy Afraz, and Sepoy Hakeem. They are currently receiving medical treatment.
Following the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. An investigation has also been initiated to determine the nature and circumstances of the blast.
