Peshawar (Terror Monitor) — Security forces killed three militants affiliated with the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, security sources said.
According to the sources, security forces launched the operation after receiving intelligence about the presence of TTP militants in the area. Three militants were killed during the operation.
The sources said the forces carried out an effective operation against the militants and took additional security measures in the surrounding area following the action.
Security forces continue operations against militant networks across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam counterterrorism framework, with the stated objective of disrupting militant activities and weakening their networks.
The sources said security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that operations against militant elements will continue.
