BU DHABI (Terror Monitor) — The United Arab Emirates has detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the country, while authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and follow official safety instructions amid a potential missile threat.
The UAE Ministry of Defence said on X that the country’s air defence systems detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the UAE.
According to the ministry, neither missile struck UAE territory. One missile fell outside the country’s territorial boundaries, while the other fell in UAE territorial waters.
Iran has not immediately commented on the UAE announcement.
The UAE Ministry of Defence also urged citizens and residents to remain cautious and rely on official sources for warnings and updates.
The ministry said UAE armed forces remain on high alert and are fully prepared to respond to any potential threat, stressing that necessary measures would continue to be taken to protect the country’s security, sovereignty and stability.
The ministry added that sounds heard in some areas could be related to air-defence operations aimed at intercepting missiles or responding to potential threats.
Meanwhile, the UAE Ministry of Interior issued a safety alert, warning residents of a potential threat and instructing them to seek shelter in secure buildings if necessary.
Residents were advised to stay away from windows, doors and open areas and to wait for further instructions from official authorities.
The ministry also urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and avoid spreading or acting on unverified reports.
The latest security alert comes amid heightened regional tensions and increased vigilance by Gulf states over potential missile and drone threats.
