Yemen: Houthis Launch Fresh Drone Strikes on Saudi Oil Infrastructure

Sanaa (Terror Monitor) — Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen said on Monday they had launched new drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure in retaliation for recent Saudi military operations in Yemen.
According to Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree, the attacks targeted several "highly sensitive" sites, including the East-West crude oil pipeline that transports oil from eastern Saudi Arabia to the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
The Houthis said the strikes were carried out in response to what they described as renewed Saudi attacks on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.
Yanbu is a key Saudi port on the Red Sea and serves as the western terminus of the kingdom's East-West pipeline, a strategic route used to transport crude oil for export.
The announcement comes amid heightened regional tensions. While direct exchanges between the United States and Iran have eased following last weekend's ceasefire, fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-led forces has intensified, with both sides carrying out more frequent cross-border attacks.
Saudi authorities had not immediately commented on the Houthi claims.
