Policeman Killed, Another Found Dead in Two Attacks in Khyber, Pakistan

Peshawar (Terror Monitor) — A serving Khyber police officer was killed and a Peshawar police officer was found dead in two separate shooting incidents in Jamrud, Khyber district, in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said on Friday.

Unknown armed terrorists were suspected of carrying out the attacks. Police have launched separate investigations into both incidents, but no arrests have been announced and the motives behind the killings remain unclear.

Khyber police officer killed in morning shooting

According to police sources, the first incident occurred on Friday morning in the Jaladin Kallay area of Shah Kas Qadam Uthari, within the jurisdiction of Jamrud Police Station.

Unknown armed terrorists opened fire on Kamran, son of Qadir Khan, a serving member of Khyber police, killing him at the scene.

His body was subsequently transferred to Jamrud Hospital for the necessary legal procedures.

Police officials said investigators were collecting evidence and information to identify the attackers and establish the motive behind the shooting.

Peshawar police officer found dead near Ghundi Sakhi Pul

In a separate incident, the body of Bahadur Shah, son of Muhammad Akbar, who was associated with Peshawar police, was recovered from the Ghundi Sakhi Pul area of Jamrud.

According to police, Shah was shot dead by unknown armed terrorists on Thursday night. Khyber police transferred his body to a hospital, where post-mortem and other legal procedures were initiated.

Investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding his killing and identify those responsible.

Separate investigations underway

The two incidents have raised fresh concerns about the security of police personnel in Jamrud, a strategically sensitive area of Khyber district near the Afghan border.

Police are investigating the cases separately to determine whether the killings were linked to a wider campaign targeting law enforcement personnel.

Authorities have not confirmed any connection between the two incidents, and no group has claimed responsibility for either attack.

Further details about the suspects and possible motives were not immediately available.
