Terrorists Abduct Three Policemen in Pakistan’s Nowshera, Search Operation Underway

Peshawar (Terror Monitor) — Three police personnel, including the head clerk of Nizam Pur Police Station, have gone missing in a sensitive area of Nowshera district in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, prompting a large-scale search operation by police, officials and local sources said Thursday.

The missing personnel have been identified as Head Constable and station clerk Naeemullah, Constable Noor Islam and Constable Aamir Khan. According to police sources, the three were last seen after leaving the area and contact with them was subsequently lost.

Local sources said the three policemen may have been intercepted by armed terrorists and taken away after being stopped on the Nizam Pur-Kohat Road near Piran Bala. Their official vehicle was reportedly found at the scene, raising concerns that the personnel may have been abducted.

However, police authorities have not yet formally confirmed that the three men were abducted, and investigators are still working to establish exactly what happened to them. A police spokesperson said the circumstances surrounding their disappearance remain under investigation.

According to police information reported by local media, the three personnel had departed in a private vehicle while carrying government-issued weapons. Authorities subsequently lost contact with them. There were also reports that masked armed men had established a checkpoint on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor route near Khairabad, although these details have not been independently verified.

Police sources further said the missing personnel may have been deprived of their official weapons and wireless communication equipment if the abduction report is confirmed.

Following the disappearance, police deployed a large contingent from across Nowshera district and launched search operations in Nizam Pur and surrounding areas. Teams are checking roads, nearby settlements and other locations in an effort to trace the missing personnel and determine their whereabouts.

Nizam Pur is considered a sensitive area because of its proximity to Nowshera and Kohat and its history of security incidents involving police and armed militants. The disappearance of three serving police personnel from the area has heightened security concerns.

Authorities have so far stopped short of conclusively attributing the incident to any militant organization. Investigators are examining multiple possibilities while police teams continue efforts to locate Naeemullah, Noor Islam and Aamir Khan.

The latest reports indicate that the search operation remains ongoing and that further details are expected as investigators establish the circumstances surrounding the disappearance.
