Mass Funeral Held for 112 Palestinians Recovered from Gaza Rubble

GAZA CITY (Terror Monitor) —Hundreds of mourners gathered in Gaza City on Tuesday to attend the collective funeral prayers for 112 Palestinians whose bodies were recently recovered from beneath the rubble of a residential building destroyed in an Israeli airstrike nearly three years ago.

The remains, including partial human remains in several cases, were recovered from the debris of a multi-story apartment building that was flattened during Israeli airstrikes in the early months of the war in Gaza.

The bodies were laid on stretchers wrapped in Palestinian flags and arranged in rows before thousands of residents joined funeral prayers near the ruins of heavily damaged buildings in Gaza City.

Following the prayers, the bodies were carried through a narrow alley and buried in a nearby cemetery.

According to authorities in Gaza, the victims were among approximately 300 people killed in an Israeli airstrike on a densely populated neighborhood of Gaza City on November 22, 2023.

Gaza officials said those buried on Tuesday included 40 children, 30 women, and seven people with disabilities.

Authorities also said 157 people remain missing from the same residential complex, with fears that their bodies or remains may still be trapped beneath the rubble.

The figures and information were provided by authorities in Gaza and have not been independently verified.
