Pakistan: Eight Killed in Separate Terrorist Attacks in Gwadar and Lasbela, Including Four NLC Employees

Quetta (Terror Monitor) — At least eight personnel, including four employees of the National Logistics Cell (NLC), were killed and seven others injured in two separate terrorist attacks in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, officials said.
The first incident occurred near the Pakistan-Iran border in the Jiwani tehsil of Gwadar district, where unidentified armed terrorists opened fire and killed four NLC employees.
Police said the incident took place on Friday near Border Post No. 250, about 60 kilometers from Jiwani.
Police and other security personnel reached the site after receiving reports of the shooting and found the bodies of four men. Initial information indicated that all four victims were employees of a government department.
A senior government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said local police had received information that a vehicle and a motorcycle had fallen off the road near the border with Iran.
When police reached the location, they found four bodies. A vehicle was found burned, while a motorcycle was lying nearby. All four men had been shot dead.
Authorities said an investigation was underway to determine the motive behind the attack. No group has so far claimed responsibility.
Security Forces Attacked in Lasbela
In the second incident, a security forces vehicle came under attack at Kashari on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in the Bela area of Lasbela district.
Security sources and police said the attack destroyed a vehicle and killed four personnel, including the driver, while seven others were injured.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.
A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said investigations were underway to determine the motive for the attack. No group has so far claimed responsibility.
Jiwani Has Faced Violence in the Past
Jiwani is an important coastal area near the Pakistan-Iran border. The region has previously witnessed serious incidents of violence, including attacks targeting security forces and government personnel.
The latest incidents come as the security situation remains tense in several parts of Balochistan, with authorities taking additional measures to strengthen security in sensitive areas.
