Pakistan: FC Soldier Home on Leave Killed in Targeted Shooting in Charsadda

Peshawar (Terror Monitor) —An Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was shot dead in a targeted attack by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan's northwestern Charsadda district, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred in Dildar Garhi, within the jurisdiction of Tarnab Police Station, where unidentified assailants opened fire on Zeeshan, son of Bashir Ahmad, killing him at the scene.
Authorities said the slain soldier was a resident of Sareekh Merozai and was serving with the Frontier Corps in Balochistan. He had returned to his hometown on leave when he was targeted.
Police reached the scene shortly after the attack and shifted the body to a hospital for legal formalities.
A case has been registered against unidentified suspects on the complaint of the victim's father at Tarnab Police Station, while an investigation is underway.
Police said they are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and analyzing mobile phone data and other evidence to identify the attackers. A search operation has also been launched to apprehend those involved.
