Hezbollah Rejects Israel–Lebanon Framework Agreement

BEIRUT (Terror Monitor) — Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem has rejected the U.S.-brokered framework agreement signed by Israel and Lebanon in Washington, describing it as a "grave mistake" by Beirut.
Speaking on Saturday, Qassem accused Lebanese authorities of granting legitimacy to what he called the Israeli occupation through the agreement.
"The Washington framework agreement is humiliating, disgraceful, and a surrender of sovereignty," Qassem said. "We reject this agreement, while the provisions of the Iran–U.S. memorandum of understanding should be implemented."
He also praised Iran's role in securing the ceasefire in Lebanon, calling it "a gift of dignity, honor, and strength." According to Qassem, the Iran–U.S. memorandum provided a "decisive diplomatic advantage" by guaranteeing Lebanon's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Qassem further stated that Hezbollah would not abandon its armed resistance despite the new agreement between Lebanon and Israel.
"We will remain on the battlefield to defeat the occupation. We did not abandon our positions under the most difficult circumstances, and we will not do so in the future," he said.
