Iran: Missile and Drone Program Is a “Red Line” of National Security

TEHRAN (Terror Monitor) — Iran’s Acting Defense Minister Majid Ibn al-Ridha has said that the country’s defense capabilities, particularly its missile and drone programs, are a “red line” of national security and will not be subject to any negotiations.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the acting defense minister said a meeting with members of the parliamentary economic committee reviewed various aspects and outcomes of the recent war with the United States and Israel.

He stressed that Iran’s military strength, missile program, and drone capabilities form a core part of national security and therefore cannot be included in any diplomatic negotiations.

Majid Ibn al-Ridha added that Iran will continue to strengthen its defense capabilities through domestic resources, indigenous technology, and the expertise of its national specialists.

He reaffirmed that efforts to enhance national defense will continue and Iran will further expand its military capabilities.
