Israeli strikes in Gaza kill five, injure 12

Gaza (Terror Monitor) At least five people were killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza on Saturday, including four members of the same family, according to health officials in the Palestinian territory. The attacks come despite an ongoing ceasefire, with both Israel and Hamas continuing to accuse each other of repeated violations.

Gaza’s Civil Defense Agency said an overnight Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in the al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, killing four members of the al-Safadi family, including a husband, wife, and their two daughters. Twelve others were injured in the strike.

Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed receiving the bodies of the four family members, including the two young girls.

A relative of the victims, Nayel al-Safadi, said the family was asleep when the missile struck their home around 2:00 a.m. He said they had no affiliation with Hamas and described them as innocent civilians.

Footage from the scene showed extensive destruction, with debris, clothing, and household belongings scattered throughout the damaged building.

Mohammed al-Safadi, a survivor of the strike, said he was still in shock and insisted he was an ordinary civilian who had never taken up arms.

In a separate incident, Al-Shifa Hospital reported that another person was killed in an Israeli drone strike near an intersection north of Gaza City.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment on either incident.
