Kuwait City (Terror Monitor) — Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence has confirmed a new Iranian attack on oil facilities in the northern part of the country, saying that three oil installations were targeted, causing material damage. No immediate casualties were reported.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, an offshore oil platform belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company was also targeted in the attack, with initial reports indicating that one worker was injured. The injured employee received medical treatment, while authorities are assessing the extent of damage to the facilities.
Kuwaiti officials said security and emergency agencies were immediately activated following the attacks, and additional protective measures were implemented around the affected installations.
The Kuwaiti military said its armed forces remain fully prepared to protect national security and respond to any potential threats, with all necessary defensive measures in place.
Meanwhile, Iranian media outlets claimed that the strikes targeted a location belonging to a U.S. ground-based missile unit stationed in Kuwait.
However, the claim could not be independently verified, and neither the Iranian military nor the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued an official statement regarding the incident.
The attack comes amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, with military confrontations increasingly expanding into the Gulf region. Analysts warn that strikes targeting oil infrastructure could have wider implications for global energy markets and security in the Gulf.
