NA’A (Terror Monitor) — Iran-backed Yemeni Houthis launched a drone attack targeting Saudi oil giant Aramco’s facilities in the Jazan region of Saudi Arabia, according to Houthi-affiliated media.
The Houthi-run Saba News Agency, citing a military source, reported that multiple drones targeted Aramco facilities in Jazan in response to what the group described as violations of the airspace over Yemen’s Saada and Hajjah provinces.
No immediate information was available on casualties or damage resulting from the reported attack.
Saudi authorities have not immediately issued a statement confirming the attack or providing details about any potential damage.
The Iran-backed Yemeni Houthis have previously targeted Saudi Arabia’s oil infrastructure, airports and other strategic facilities with drones and missiles.
The latest reported attack comes amid continued tensions linked to the conflict in Yemen and growing military activity in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Saudi Arabia and the Houthis have remained involved in a prolonged conflict, with Riyadh supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government while the Houthis control large parts of northern and western Yemen.
